The Artists.

STATIC

S T A T I C  (welikestatic) is the combined creative output of Craig Evans & Tom Jackson, are best known for their bold abstract mixed-media works which subtly explore themes including duality and conflict. Inspired by what the duo describes as “urban tribes and trends,” they layer shapes and symbols into intricate patterns which encourage viewers to reflect on their own ’tribe.’ The artists incorporate stencils, spray paint, and collages in electric hues, playing with dimension and the perception of the viewer. They have received international acclaim and have exhibited in galleries around the world. The duo is also widely recognized for their public art projects and murals throughout the United Kingdom.

Their use of layered glass and assemblage has defined a style that has allowed them to explore a number of themes loosely reflective of urban tribes and trends, creating a unique visual language which continues to evolve as they challenge themselves to build on their past experiences and search for new stories to tell.
